The diagram on the right reveals Canada's 5,000 annual Hepatitis C infections from contaminated blood as discovered by Justice Krever and his excellent medical team in 1996.  It should be remembered that Canada was a non prison blood using nation and has half the numbers of transfusions a year as it has less than half the UK's population.   Justice Krever noted 3500 more annual infections from non transfusion healthcare routes also, namely Dialysis, Transplants C'Sections and a wide array of Blood Products.
